ABC recently announced they've selected a co-host and he or she will be unveiled on September 4. Strahan, according to the Los Angeles Times, is the leading personality for the job considering he's co-hosted the morning show several times since Regis Philbin retired in November.
TMZ reported that a rep for Strahan was spotted outside the Live! studios on Tuesday "grinning ear-to-ear," fueling speculation that a deal has been struck.
If Strahan does take the job, he'll be quite the busy bee this fall. The 6'5" former defensive end is a commentator on Fox NFL Sunday, which tapes in Los Angeles. Each Sunday after the game, Strahan will have to jet back to New York to tape Live!
