Celebrity Plastic Surgeon Secretly Taped Female Patients

A very well known plastic surgeon in Los Angeles is being charged with a dozen misdemeanor counts for video taping his female patients while they got undressed.

One patient even discovered a camera in the office of Dr. Lance Everett Wyatt, who is reportedly a doctor to the stars.

The LA Times reports:

Dr. Lance Everett Wyatt, 42, was arrested without incident Thursday morning by Los Angeles police and investigators with the Medical Board of California’s Operation Safe Medicine. He could not be immediately reached for comment. Wyatt has appeared on several TV shows about plastic surgery including "20/20" and "The Doctors."

Wyatt, who has an office near the Beverly Center and specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery, faces six misdemeanor counts four of them related to the secret video recordings and the other two counts related to what the Los Angeles city attorney's office described as "sexual battery and battery." 

"The sexual battery and battery counts relate to the way in which the doctor conducted the examination," said Deputy City Atty. Richard Kraft. He added: "The evidence of the defendant's violation of his patients' trust and invasion of privacy was compelling."

Thankfully the patient that discovered the footage turned it over to police and if convicted on all counts, Wyatt faces a maximum sentence of two years in county jail and is required to register as a sex offender.

DeBarge Brother Sentenced To 6 Months In Jail

The DeBarge family could definitely give the Jacksons a run for their money when it comes to family dysfunction.  TMZ reports that Marc DeBarge has been sentenced to 6 months behind bars after being busted for drug possession this past April.

Marc was charged with felony drug possession in addition to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with possession of a fake ID.  The DeBarge brother pled “no contest” earlier this month to all three counts — and was sentenced to 180 days behind bars. He was also sentenced to 30 days community service with Caltrans … and 3 years formal probation.

Toni Braxton Sued For Not Paying For Reality Show Advertisements

Sultry singer Toni Braxton has had her fair share of financial troubles over the years. She’s landed in more financial hot water because she’s being sued by an advertising company for defaulting on payments for posters advertising her hit WEtv reality show Braxton Family Values.

 

A company named National Promotions & Advertising went to L.A. County Superior Court to file a lawsuit against Toni Braxton and the rest of the producers of Braxton Family Values, alleging they had a contract with the show to promote the second season of the series. The ad company claims they posted 4,300 posters around the country and they were supposed to receive $57, 322.29 for their services.

Drake Gets Aaliyah Inspired Tattoo…Again!

Drake‘s infatuation with the late singer, Aaliyah, has inspired his latest ink! Drizzy laid down on the tattoo table while his artist filled in the color to his”416″ and “116″ drawing. The number represents both his hometown–Canada’s–area code and Aaliyah’s birthday January 16.

While we thought the tattoo was just unfinished, it is a clear homage to Aaliyah and picks up where the portrait of her face, on his back left off!

My Personal Statement

To begin, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the countless number of people who opened their hearts, extended their prayers, well-wishes and remained hopeful for my son Kile during the last weeks of his life. I truly believe that he has always been an Angel from birth and the World was just too small to contain a spirit so vast. I'm thankful and blessed to merely be the vessel that carried him and humbled that God gave him to us to love. I also feel humbled by everyone’s show of concern, and knowing that Kile Glover touched the lives of so many has given me strength during my worst & darkest hour … Again I THANK YOU ALL! 

Sadly, I remain in the unfortunate position of having to respond to and attend court proceedings that were not initiated or begun by me. I did not file this custody case (January 2011) and was content with the ‘joint custody’ arrangement that we share.  

Most importantly, nor do I wish to appear in court while I am mourning the loss of my son. But I do not want to delay thus prolong these proceedings either; I'd rather continue this arduous process hoping it will help move me through this most difficult period in my life.  People seem to be privy to only my filed responses as ‘Defendant’ to the initiation of this case (Jan 4, 2011), when I have only been defending myself and protecting the best interests of my children through my counsel. I cannot control how the media reports are written/slanted/spun or even how court documents may be manipulated in their attribution of certain statements as if they are direct “quotes” from me- yet I can control what I actually say myself.

This may sound really cliché but you must NOT believe everything you read or hear and never judge… especially without solid facts and always, but always consider the source. Discernment is key. My boys are my entire world and I will fight tooth and nail to keep all of my sons together as a family, I pray for a swift, peaceful resolution so that we all can move forward.

Again, thank you for your concern, positive energy and hope for my family during this surreal time. There have been times when just the right words, at the right time, have provided me shelter through this storm and I appreciate you all. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Mary Mary's Tina Campbell Welcomes Son Santana Campbell

It's another boy for Mary Mary's Tina Campbell.

The gospel star and husband Teddy Campbell welcomed their second son in Los Angeles earlier today.

Baby Santana Campbell arrived at 9:16 a.m. weighing 7lbs., 5 oz and measuring 19.5 inches long.

"With the biggest grin plastered across his face, my husband and proud dad, Teddy, held my hand, as I cried tears of joy when my doctor handed me our new son," the proud mom tells ESSENCE.com.

"After 9 challenging months of carrying our son, every second of it all became so worth it, in this moment. We're so privileged to have, once again, experienced the gift  of childbirth."

Santana joins siblings Cierra, 18, Laigh Simone, 8, Meela Jane, 5, and Glendon Theodore, II, 3.

Tina's older sister Erica Campbell welcomed daughter Zaya on January 24, 2012.

Lady Gaga, Universal Sued by Bratz Dolls Manufacturer MGA

Toy firm MGA Entertainment, the maker of the Bratz line of dolls, has sued Lady Gaga and her management firm for delaying approval of a Lady Gaga doll line.

The company is alleging breach of contract and seeking more than $10 million in damages in its New York state lawsuit, Bloomberg News reported.

It said the suit cited the pop star, her management company Atom Factory and Universal Music Group-owned merchandising firm Bravado International Group as defendants.

MGA Entertainment's complaint says that it agreed to produce dolls in Lady Gaga's image in Dec. 2011 at Bravado's "request and insistence" and paid the company a $1 million fee amid plans to ship the dolls to retailers this summer ahead of the important holiday selling season, according to Bloomberg.

But in April, Bravado told MGA that Lady Gaga wanted to delay production and shipping until her new album release in 2013, it cited from the complaint. MGA estimated $28 million in revenue for the fall 2012 retail season from the Lady Gaga dolls, Bloomberg also cited from the complaint.

MGA claims that final approval has been delayed to push back the launch and marketing of the dolls until next year. The complaint says the toy company paid "an excessively generous royalty rate, invested millions in the preproduction of the Lady Gaga dolls and put its reputation and goodwill on the line in order to secure distributors and retail shelf space," Bloomberg said.

MGA last year won $310 million in damages and fees from toy giant Mattel in a long legal battle over the ownership of the Bratz dolls rights, but Mattel this year asked a federal appeals court to reverse the decision.

A spokeswoman for Lady Gaga said the music star hadn't seen the complaint and had no comment, according to Bloomberg.

"This is a dispute between Universal Music Group's merchandising company and MGA," she said. "There was no legitimate reason for dragging Lady Gaga into that dispute. Lady Gaga will vigorously defend MGA's ill-conceived lawsuit and is confident that she will prevail."

A spokesman for Vivendi's Universal Music Group said the claims were meritless and the company would vigorously defend itself in court.
