BLACK ICEBERG PHOTO GOES VIRAL ON REDDIT

It's not everyday (or ever) you see a black iceberg. So when one witness snapped a flick of such rarity, the post went bonkers on Reddit.

CBS News reports the photo was posted by user Rundboll on Friday (Jan. 4), receiving over 1,000 comments and featured on the front page.

According to The Canada Encyclopedia, the odd-colored iceberg is a result of density differences.

“Others may appear green, brown or black, or combinations of these colors. These icebergs have usually rolled over, exposing basal ice, or have emerged from below water level. The various colorations are caused by differences in density, air-bubble content and impurities. For example, black ice is of high density and bubble free; dark layers indicate the presence of rock materials derived from the base of the parent glacier. Occasionally, rocks may be found on the original upper surface of the iceberg. As the iceberg melts, these materials precipitate into marine or lake sediments.”

LIL WAYNE WANTS ANOTHER SHOT AFTER LOSING $2.1 MIL BATTLE

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is not ready to dig into his pockets to pay up a $2.1 million settlement in his The Carter lawsuit and reportedly wants another opportunity in court to come out the victor.

According to reports, Weezy F. Baby has filed the necessary documents to request an appeal.

Lil Wayne isn't rolling over after losing his massive legal battle against Quincy Jones III -- TMZ has learned, the rapper's now taking steps to get another shot at Quincy in court. TMZ broke the story back in November ... Weezy was ordered to pay Quincy $2,195,000 in the wake of the producer's lawsuit against the rapper. Wayne had claimed Quincy released a "scandalous" documentary about him, and used his music in the flick without his permission. Quincy shot back, claiming Wayne's legal tantrum torpedoed his film's profit potential by miring it in litigation. The jury decided in Quincy's favor. Now, Wayne's filed docs declaring his intent to appeal the jury's decision. He's got a month to file the actual appeal itself. (TMZ)

Reports of Wayne losing the lawsuit turned into a hot topic back in early November.

A judge reportedly ordered the Young Money head honcho to pay $2,195,000 after ruling in favor of a countersuit filed by producer Quincy Jones III over the documentary, tossing out Lil Wayne's original suit. He originally sued over the use of his music and his "scandalous portrayal" in the 2009 indie film, which followed the MC before and during his "Tha Carter III" album release. (Billboard)

To add fuel to the fire, the rap star's released deposition tapes may have hurt his chances after they emerged in September.

Lil Wayne -- who is suing Quincy Jones III over a documentary about him -- says he can't remember ANYTHING -- but what he DOES remember is hysterical. Q III had his production team follow Lil Wayne around for months to chronicle his life as he was putting together his album, "Tha Carter III." It appears Lil was on board, but things fell apart because the rapper hated the movie, calling it a "scandalous portrayal." Lil Wayne is grilled by Qunicy's lawyer, Pete Ross from the powerhouse law firm of Browne George Ross, who hammers Wayne about his criminal record, but the rapper claims he remembers nothing. This latest news comes just weeks after Wayne wrote nearly an $8 million check for tax-related debts.

The taxman has released liens it had on rapper Lil Wayne's Miami Beach house after the diminutive singer paid off back taxes for a total $7.72 million, Gossip Extra has learned. Katching! The IRS, and we the people, thank you! According to court filings, the tatted out chart-topping singer of Got Money and Lolli Pop became the target of not just one, but THREE liens for unpaid income levy. Weezy, 30, owed $3,351,077.95 for 2008 and $2,258,956 and 4 cents for 2009, according to Miami-Dade County records. The other liens listed money owed since 2002! (Gossip Extra)

Boyz II Men To Headline Live Concerts in Las Vegas

Boyz II Men will be heading to Sin City. The R&B crooners are set to headline an ongoing string of live concerts at Las Vegas' Mirage Hotel starting on March 1. 

The residency will feature 78 weekend shows through the end of the year. Organizers say that the concerts will feature the band's biggest hits, with Nathan, Wanya and Shawn performing "Motownphilly," "End of the Road," "I'll Make Love To You" as well as some surprises. Boyz II Men is one of most successful male R&B group in history, with over 60 million albums sold worldwide and four Grammy Awards.

NAS ADDRESSES $6 MIL TAX BILL: "I DON'T HAVE ANY REGRETS"

Rap veteran Nas recently came clean on making headlines for owing millions of dollars to the government and said despite Uncle Sam digging into his pockets he has no regrets.

Rather than make up excuses or downplay the question, Nasty Nas accepted his money woes mistakes and called them learning experiences.

Details of Nasir Jones' money woes in the state of Georgia bubbled online in November.

The State of Georgia is rooting for Nas to make a fortune on his concert tour ... because the government just got the green light to garnish a MILLION BUCKS from his earnings to repay a massive tax debt ... TMZ has learned. The Georgia Department of Revenue has filed new legal docs in their effort to collect $1,083,435 from the rapper for taxes it claims Nas owes for the years 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010. Rather than wait on Nas to pay up, concert promoter Live Nation reportedly got forced to withhold fully paying him for his shows.

According to court docs, the GDR obtained an order commanding Live Nation -- the promo company behind Nas' tour with Lauryn Hill -- to garnish his wages until the dept is satisfied. The tour is currently underway, and Nas-- who's also on the hook for millions in unpaid taxes to the federal government -- is sure to make a boatload of money. A rep for Nas tells us the matter has recently been settled -- but the GDR insists the case is still open and they're trying to collect. Pay your taxes, people. (TMZ)

Weeks prior, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane poked fun at God's Son's publicized money problems.

"Does Nas make a 150 blood money per week off a mixtape," Gucci asked in a video. "Yeah, blood money. Nas' f*cked up right now. Yeah. Me and you got [whips], I just bought me [something]. Don't you have a drop top? ... You got the white one, I'm getting the black one? Nas got one? [laughs]" (Hood Affairs TV)

DID AZEALIA BANKS TAKE FEUD WITH PEREZ HILTON TOO FAR?

Azealia Banks has been on a Twitter tirade against anyone coming for her on her timeline this past week.

From the emotionally charged e-feud with female spitter Angel Haze that resulted in salacious diss records, Banks turned her attention to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton who somehow found his way into the mix.

After blatantly supporting Haze, Hilton became a target of the "212" rapper's wrath, which included a homophobic slur. "lol what a messy f----t you are," Banks said. She then clarified her usage, but didn't retract it against Hilton, "A f----t is not a homosexual male. A f----t is any male who acts like a female. There's a BIG difference" and "Really not as moved by this f word thing as u all want me to be. As a bisexual person I knew what I meant when I used that word. And I meant what I meant when I used that word.

"You human beings have bigger life problems then what I think about some played out gossip dude...," she added.

Now the Harlemite has come under fire from the gay community. As a Perez supporter tweeted, "Oh yeah. "Faggot." Totally cool. Give me a fucking break. It (sic) all about context. And right now, I'm sorry, but context is not on your side."

Bobby Womack Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s Disease

NEW YORK — Bobby Womack has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member told the BBC in a recent interview the diagnosis comes after he began having difficulty remembering his songs and the names of people he’s worked with.

A spokeswoman did not immediately reply to a message left by the Associated Press.

The soul singer has cut a wide path through the music business as a performer and songwriter in his 50-year career and recently launched another act with “The Bravest Man in the Universe,” the Damon Albarn-produced comeback album that recently made several best-of lists.

Alzheimer’s is a degenerative brain disease characterized by memory loss. It’s the latest health problem for the 68-year-old singer, who’s also been fighting cancer and other maladies.

Cassidy fires another round in his lyrical war against Meek Mill. On "R.A.I.D. (Robert Ass Is Dead)," Cass takes shots at the MMG spitter in response to his "Repo" which answered to the initial "Me, Myself & iPhone" diss record.

He opens the track by claiming to have birthed Meek's lyrical prowess, delivering punchlines for 10 minutes. He raps, "Come on you be drawn, n*gga I ain't bull shittin'/ How you go on Twitter tweeting that the bull snitchin'?/ Listen, you better off tryna' make a verse/ Cause the shit that you tweet only gon' make it worse."

Right on cue, Meek took to the social site soon after. "10mins of fiction ..... And a old ass flow that nobody will never play in a car! #yadone atleast ya got back on da radio #saythanks," he tweeted. "In about 50days everyone will forget about ya again .... And we still gone b balling! #rememberthistweet lol."

Will Robert Williams issue a response to Cass on his impending "Dreamchasers 3?" We can only hope a curtain call is near.
