How Floyd Mayweather & 50 Cent Went From BFFs To Enemies

In mid July, about three weeks before Floyd Mayweather was to be released from jail for domestic abuse, 50 Cent applied to get a boxing promoters license in Nevada: This was the birth of TMT promotions. The moniker TMT (which stands for The Money Team) was one that Floyd Mayweather birthed, so it was assumed that TMT would promote Floyd and a number of other well-known boxers the company snatched up, including Yuriorkis Gamboa, Billy Dib and Andre Dirrell.

If you thought that, you would be wrong.

Last night, despite the fact that Floyd was seen rocking the hat recently, TMT was officially put to rest with these tweets:

"TMT IS OVER the money team is no longer a team. So it SMS promotions that’s it thats all.SMSaudio"

"I’m no longer apart or down with TMT promotions. SMSaudio. If anyone wants a money team jacket I’m selling mine for a dollar. The nap back hat comes with it. That’s a fare price. SMSaudio"

Along with the promotional company, it seems like their friendship, which has been one of the more notable ones, is shattered.

So what happened?

The story hasn’t been fully told yet, all we are left with is a trail of clues.

Who knew?

That was everyone’s reaction when we first saw rapper 50 Cent kicking it with Floyd Mayweather in 2006, during the buildup to the mega fight between Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya. The friendship was best projected during HBO’s 24/7, where the two can be see clowning around (50 even walked Floyd out to the ring fight night.)

From there, the two seemed irreplaceable. They seemed to do everything together, from appearing on the cover of XXL to sh*tting on Rick Ross. The problems between the two are mostly recent. However, one thing that stood out was a fistfight they had back in 2008. It involved money that 50 claims that Floyd owed him. The fight seemed to be squashed right away.

Then in the summer of 2012, Floyd heads to jail for domestic abuse. If you saw the 24/7 coverage leading up to Floyd’s fight with Miguel Cotto, then you would think all was good between the two, who were yucking it up throughout. Like we mentioned before, while Floyd was in jail, 50 started up TMT and gathered a number of boxers. Things seem so good between them that 50 picked up Floyd from jail when he was released. 

Miss Jackson. 

That's Floyd Mayweather's fiancée and she is in the middle of all of this. Around the time Floyd came home, rumors about an affair between 50 Cent and Miss Jackson started spreading rapidly. As you can see, at the Freelancers premiere a couple of months ago, things were a little awkward, to say the least. 

About a month later, news came out that 50 was doing some kind of business with Manny Pacquiao, the rival boxer of Floyd Mayweather. Some speculated that this was in regards to a potential megafight between Floyd and Manny, but this seems unlikely, considering that Floyd is nowhere in the picture throughout this time. In an interview with Power 105, 50 still seemed like he could make the megafight happen, even though he was throwing some shade at his BFF in the process.  

In an interview with Rickey Smiley, 50 Cent continues to hint that all isn’t good in Floyd land:

"[The issues between us] really comes from … everybody around him is waiting on the next time he feels generous. And I have a lot [of money], so I don't wait for nobody," the rapper said in the interview. "I'll go do what I gotta do. I don't have to sit around and wait for the next time he feels like giving somebody something."

Floyd responds to 50, but he takes the high road and he tries to keep the peace. In an interview with FightHype, which has a good relationship with the fighter, Floyd talked about any kind of beef, saying:

"It's not that we're beefin'. You gotta realize, 50, he travels a lot and he has other stuff. He's got his headphones, he has his energy drink, you know, he makes appearances overseas, so he's very busy, and I'm making a lot of appearances, so a lot of times, two people may not always be on the same page, but that don't mean it's a hate-hate relationship. Everybody wants to see me and 50 bump heads."

The most damning piece of evidence of why the relationship between the two went sour came on a report in FightHype put up on October 12. The story details how Tommy Summers, a friend of 50 Cent, wanted Floyd to cut ties with the boxer's advisor, Al Hayman, who has been with Floyd with years. FightHype was able to get physical evidence, which included a letter. It seems that in the end, Floyd had to choose between Al Hayman and 50 Cent and Tommy Summers, and he chose Al Hayman. 

Cee Lo Green Denies Sexual Assault Claims

Cee Lo Green is in hot water these days, as he's been accused by a Los Angeles woman of sexual battery. 

According to TMZ, The Voice judge is at the center of an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. A woman, whose identity has not been released, recently filed a police report claiming that Green sexually assaulted her. 

LAPD detectives have reportedly visited a downtown Los Angeles restaurant that is thought to be in connection with the case. It is not yet known if the incident happened at the location, but according to reports, officers questioned the restaurant’s manager and employees. 

Green has already pleaded his innocence in the case, saying he hasn't visited this particular restaurant in three months and "nothing ever happened there or anywhere else."

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have yet been filed in the case.

Obama Scores Endorsement From NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg

In a surprising announcement, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorsed President Barack Obama for re-election today during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Mayor Bloomberg, an Independent who neglected to endorse a candidate during the 2008 election, published an op-ed piece listing the reasons why he is supporting Barack Obama's candidacy. Citing the destruction of Sandy as a possible result of climate change, Bloomberg says the storm has helped him put the election in perspective and that he stands behind Obama's position on the issue.

"The devastation that Hurricane Sandy brought to New York City and much of the Northeast – in lost lives, lost homes and lost business – brought the stakes of Tuesday’s presidential election into sharp relief."

The Mayor continued, "Our climate is changing. And while the increase in extreme weather we have experienced in New York City and around the world may or may not be the result of it, the risk that it might be – given this week's devastation – should compel all elected leaders to take immediate action." 

According to the NYC Mayor, he wants the next president "to be on the right side of history" when it comes to abortion rights, same-sex marriage and progressive legislation on climate change - issues that GOP nominee Mitt Romney promises to fight against.

Within the piece, Bloomberg, who has been an open critic of the President in the past, also points out issues he feels Obama failed on accomplishing, including comprehensive gun regulation and job creation. He even called the President's first term "disappointing." Nonetheless, he says that Romney's flip-flopping on major issues has made him wary. 

"In the past he has also taken sensible positions on immigration, illegal guns, abortion rights and health care. But he has reversed course on all of them, and is even running against the health-care model he signed into law in Massachusetts," said the mayor about the Republican challenger.

Bloomberg signs off with words of optimism and hope for the incumbent.

"If he listens to people on both sides of the aisle, and builds the trust of moderates, he can fulfill the hope he inspired four years ago and lead our country toward a better future for my children and yours. And that's why I will be voting for him."

JAMIE FOXX IN TALKS FOR "SPIDER-MAN"

Jamie Foxx is already a Actor/Singer/Comedian/Host, but he may be adding Super Villain to his repertoire. Foxx is reportedly in talks to play the villain in the new "Spider-Man" movie, tentatively called "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

Foxx tweeted something very mysterious on Halloween:

"Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."

That lead to wild speculation that Foxx will take on the role of Electro, one of Spider-Man's greatest adversaries from the comics, in the upcoming Spidey sequel. No official word yet, but it would be wild to see Foxx take on the web-slinger on the big screen!

SOCCER FAN MAKES RACIST GESTURE AT BLACK PLAYER

Racism is not new in European soccer, but rarely is so obvious and caught on camera. Supporters of English football club Chelsea were photographed making monkey gestures during a match this weekend against Manchester United, apparently directed at Man U forward Danny Welbeck, who is black.

This is the latest instance of racism in a long line of ugly incidents in the English Premier League.Chelsea seems to be investigating the issue fully, issuing a statement saying:

"Chelsea Football Club can confirm we are investigating an incident involving a member of the crowd at last night's game against Manchester United. The club will be examining all available footage and asks anyone who can identify the individual to contact the club. Chelsea FC is committed to removing all forms of discrimination and if we have sufficient evidence we will take the strongest possible action, including supporting criminal prosecution."

The game was marred by several incidents, including fans throwing objects onto the field and a fan running out on the field during the game.

A recent poll conducted by magazine Vanity Fairand news program 60 Minutes included the question, "If you were directing a new film version of the New Testament, which actor would you cast to play Jesus?" And Denzel Washington, whose new movie Flight opens on Friday, was crowned the winner, with 21 percent of the vote.

The Oscar-winning actor led a pretty impressive group of nominees: Daniel Day-Lewis earned 14 percent, Al Pacino scored 13 percent, and Ryan Gosling earned 11 percent. Woody Allen picked up 10 percent votes cast, and Philip Seymour Hoffman walked away with just 3 percent. 

However, many who took the poll weren't impressed with the available selection of actors — 15 percent of people polled said none of men were right for the job.

Bobbi Kristina’s Inheritance Dispute Drama Settled

The case of how to distribute Bobby Kristina’s inheritance has been settled.

TMZ reports that Cissy and Pat Houston, the co-executors of Whitney Houston’s estate, had filed legal papers to withold the money, stating that it was “too much, too soon.”

The inheritance plan that Cissy fought to employ was for Bobbi to receive an estimated $20 million. The inheritance would be separated into three chunks: 10 percent ($2 million) which she would receive when she turns 21, 20 percent ( $4 million) at age 25 and $16 million at the age of 30.

The court has dropped the case since Bobbi and Cissy have come to an agreement, which leaves the original payment plan, designed by Whitney unchanged.
