Wednesday marked the third straight night of Las Vegas week on America's Got Talent. It was also the last chance for contestants to impress judges Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel before control of the competition was handed over to the voters.
The third segment of Vegas week featured the stand-by acts who really needed to prove they deserved one of the final spots. While some stepped up their game enough to continue, there was one contestant that definitely stood out, for better or worse. Granny G (real name: Paula Nelson) made a splash in her first audition when she demonstrated her rapping skills in a song about family values. But the 80-year-old retired real estate broker went a different route on Wednesday with a more scandalous routine.
Granny G surprised everyone during her performance when she stripped off her conservative dress to reveal only a black leotard, tights and a heavy gold necklace. The elderly contestant then sang out how she'll "show my goodies, hock my wedding ring, cause Granny G is bad today."
While Osbourne seemed delighted with the routine, Stern seemed less than impressed.
