ESSENCE Music Festival headliner Mary J. Blige may be adding "fashion designer" to her resume any day now. The soulful singer revealed that she is "brainstorming" a new fashion collection project, reports WWD.
Blige spilled the beans on her new project this week at Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only in Beijing” fashion show and party where she performed. One of the first to-do's on Blige's project list is to create boots and accessories, and later plans to design "great-fitting jeans," she said.

Queen Mary is well known for rocking a bevy of high-fashion threads, so it comes as no surprise that she'd like to launch her own clothing line. As the guest editor of the June issue of ESSENCE, Blige spent the afternoon with the fashion editors and dished on her favorite fashion finds.
Be sure to check out Blige's performance at next month's ESSENCE Music Festival to see what fabulous frocks she'll be rocking onstage!
