The checks keep rolling in for Will Smith. The actor has two new
projects in the works, one of which will see the star make his
directorial debut, reports Deadline.
Will Smith has his sights set on a film about Biblical brothers Cain and Abel tentatively titled The Redemption of Cain. The project is set at Sony in development and is being produced by his Overbrook Entertainment production company.
On the TV front, Smith is also developing a drama series called Epidemic. Smith has teamed up with Hollywood scribe J. Michael Straczynski, whose credits include the hit cable series Babylon 5 and the silver screen blockbusters Thor, Underworld Awakening and Changeling, to develop the show. There's no word yet on what the TV show will be based on.
Smith's new projects come on the heels of the hugely successful Men in Black 3, which raked in $599.4 million to become the highest grossing film of the trilogy.
