Universal Republic has appointed two new VPs to its urban A&R
department: Tab Nkhereanye and Naim Ali McNair. Both will report to
senior VP of A&R Wendy Goldstein. Formerly VP of creative at Sony/ATV where he signed Frank Ocean, Nkhereanye's background includes consulting for Geffen Records and a tenure with RedZone Entertainment. Also a songwriter, Nkhereanye has several credits including Justin Bieber ("One Time"), Mary J. Blige ("Take Me As I Am"), Fantasia ("Truth Is") and Britney Spears and Madonna ("Me Against the Music").

extremely dynamic, devout, and diligent, and it's an honor to be

McNair
has held A&R posts at MCA Records and Warner Bros., working
with such acts as the Roots, Talib Kweli and Mike Jones. He most
recently consulted for Top Dawg Entertainment and Epic Records.
