QUESTLOVE SET TO TEACH 'CLASSIC ALBUMS' COURSE AT NYU

Could Questlove be your new college professor? If you attend New York University, that might just be a possibility.
Billboard.biz reports that The Roots' drummer will be joining Universal Music Enterprises vice president of A&R and Grammy winning reissues producer Harry Weinger to co-teach a course titled 'Classic Albums' at the Clive Davis Institue for Recorded Music at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts this coming Spring semester.
Counting as a two credit course, the class will focus on the concept of what it means for something to be called classic, looking at albums like Sly & The Family Stone's Stand!Aretha Franklin's Lady SoulMichael Jackson's Off The Wall, and a list of other iconic albums.
Check out this tweet that Questlove sent out, confirming reports:
Word is, the idea for the course came from the now-infamous NPR blog post, where an intern's dismissive review of "classic albums they'd never heard before" prompted Questlove to respond by saying, "ur [sic] job is to find out why."
This is a good look for Quest, NYU as a whole, and inquiring music heads trying to get an education. Education & music coming together can never go wrong.
