In Halle Berry’s ongoing court battle with ex Gabriel Aubry over their 4-year-old Nahla, according to TMZ a judge has ruled that she cannot permanently move her daughter to France with her fiancé, actor Olivier Martinez.

Despite the actress’ argument in the November issue of InStyle that her decision was for “the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla” from the intense L.A. paparazzi, the judge denied her request. The exact court ruling is unclear.

The Cloud Atlas star admits to the “turbulence” in her relationship with Nahla’s father but hopes they can reconcile their differences.
