This year was the first time fans were allowed to participate in the voting process. Fans cast their ballots online and their votes were combined with some 600 other votes.
Unfortunately, there were a number of other R&B, soul and rap acts that didn't make it into this year's class. Among them are The Marvelettes, N.W.A. and Chic.
The ceremony will be held on April 18, 2013 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and will air on HBO on May 18.
