Mary J. Blige Sued For Defaulting on Loan

Mary J. Blige faces more financial woes with Signature Bank suing both she and her husband Martin Isaacs, for defaulting on a $2.2 million loan plus $58,000 in interest, according to Reuters.
Earlier this year, Blige dealt with allegations that her Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now was mishandling funds and cheating scholarship students. The charity was slammed with two lawsuits over unpaid bills, according to theGrio.
“The lives of young women are at stake,” she told Reuters back in June regarding the suits. “I feel what they feel. I don’t want them to suffer. I promised them something and I’m gonna deliver. Period.”
According to the Signature Bank suit, Blige and Isaacs took out a loan in October of last year and defaulted July 2012.
