Moment of the Week: Slick Rick Kills Himself In Brooklyn

I have to admit, I've seen some pretty messed up things in my life but this may be a Top 3 contender. 

Seeing the legendary Slick Rick not only get booed but ridiculed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York had to be one of the hardest things. Ever. Pause. There are legends and then there are the select few that include Slick Rick. Even though I bleed Orange & Blue for my Knicks, seeing the all-mighty Slick Rick getting dissed like that? Unruly. Where's the heart?

The New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets finally got around to playing that game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn that was canceled in the wake of hurricane Sandy. For halftime entertainment the Nets brought in Slick Rick to delight the masses. It apparently did not go so well for Mr. Rick--Slick Rick is actually trending on Twitter because it was apparently so bad. (Dead Spin)

I know there was the NY Daily News doggy that had the nerve to call Rick Ross a better, or rather more iconic/legendary, rapper than Slick Rick, but since he is down with the Knicks, I'll give him a pass. In any other instance, that'd be a smack to the dome. SMH. Slick Rick is great but he had a rough night on Monday. SMH.
