Just before the release of his eighth studio album, T.I. and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, have found a way to give back to their community.
The couple launched "Give Like A King," a charity that encourages individuals to give back and get involved. For their first project, "Give Like A King" joined forces with the Veteran Empowerment Organization, an Atlanta-based non-profit organization, to provide homeless veterans with housing, food, health care, jobs and mental health counseling, reports The Grio.
According to the foundation's website, "T.I. will champion a wide variety of worthy causes under his global 'Give Like A King' campaign and will continue to raise awareness and crucial funds to address leading issues around the world."
"We have to have someone else's back, not just our own," T.I. said of the nearly 300,000 vets who struggle to have their basic needs met everyday.
In related news, Tiny's new talk show, Tiny Tonight, premieres on VH1 tonight. Her co-stars include singer Tamar Braxton, rapper Trina and Claudia Jordan of Celebrity Apprentice and Deal Or No Deal. This is the first late-night talk show series for the network.
