Despite a very emotional retirement announcement earlier this week, Katt Williams is not leaving stand up comedy.
Katt’s management team spoke with TMZ and said, “Katt is definitely NOT retiring. He will be moving forward with the tour… Friday is Texas, Saturday New Orleans, and on to Alabama. The reason why he made remarks was due to him feeling totally disrespected by all the things that happen to him in the city of Seattle. He had a moment where he felt very unappreciated. He now just wants to move forward from those unfortunate events and give his fans outstanding shows from this point forward.”
Although he was able to escape an early retirement, escaping the laundry list of charges against him may prove to be more difficult. A warrant was issued for his arrest in Sacramento county for the three-wheeled motorcycle pursuit he led authorities on last month. Williams is also facing two counts of fourth degree misdemeanor assault from his bar dispute in Seattle this past weekend. He was a no-show at his arraignment on Thursday (Dec. 6).
