AFTER 50 CENT PARTNERSHIP, TIMBALAND JOINS JAY-Z'S TEAM

Weeks after officially joining forces with G-Unit's 50 Cent, Grammy-winning producer Timbaland has now formed a partnership with longtime friend/rap star Jay-Z's Roc Nation.
While details are still developing, Jay's Life + Times lifestyle websitebroke the news Wednesday (January 30).

The new hook-up also comes weeks after Jay and Tim linked for R&B singer Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" anthem.
It's been more than six years since Justin Timberlake has released an album, and while JT'sappeared on numerous tracks since 2006's FutureSex/LoveSounds, the actor/entrepreneur/once-and-future singer sent his comeback missive out to the world Sunday night, grabbing Timbaland and Jay-Z to assist on the soul-pop track "Suit & Tie." Earlier this month, 50 Cent confirmed Timbaland teamed up with him to invest in his SMS Audio headphones company.
"That's exciting, that's really exciting that Tim, you know, wanted to come and get involved with SMS. Because now, he has ownership in the company. Equity ownership and he's involved in it and it gives him the same incentive that I have with moving forward and being successful. We're doing big things. We've got the CES [Consumer Electronics Show] convention coming up. We're doing good, man." (Whoolywood Shuffle)
Buzz on the unexpected partnership bubbled online in early January.
The "Candy Shop" hit-maker founded SMS Audio LLC in 2011 and his range of electronics has been a big hit among fans. Now, Timbaland is throwing his support behind his pal's business venture by funneling his own cash into the firm and agreeing to serve as a member of the corporation's board of directors. The music producer, real name Timothy Mosley, will also help design new products. (Star Pulse)
