In the realm of designer vintage glasses, Cazal remains the most iconic brand to date. The limited edition (999 no. pieces) Cazal 607 with a matte black finish was just released as a tribute to Cari Zalloni, the creator of Cazal Eyewear, who just passed away in 2012. Regardless of the fact that Cazal is based out of Germany, their influence in the American Hip-Hop commnuity is enormus. Hip Hop legends RUN DMC were known for wearing the iconic Cazal glasses, but unfortunately for the fans who came from lesser priveledged, low-income neighborhoods, the high ticket price of Cazal Eyewear made the brand inaccesable to many. In order for them to get their hands on Cazal, they would most likely have to rob and steal and sometimes even kill for the frames. Today, Cazal Eyewear is still a must have for hip hop titans such as Rick Ross (who has a Cazal logo tatooed on his face), Jay Z, Mosdef, and Big Boy from Outkast. The new Cazal 607 301 are super limited to 999 pieces. The Cazal 607 301 is a matte black version of the most popular Cazal style of all times.
