Former congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is already in legal hot water as he faces sentencing for misusing $750,000 in campaign money. Now, according to NBC Chicago, he could be in even more trouble.
The Chicago Tribune reported that Jackson supposedly has yet to file a financial disclosure report which is required from members of Congress who leave the House. The fee for failing to do so: $50,000.
Jackson’s sentencing is scheduled for July 1 and could land him up to five years in prison. His wife, former Chicago Sandi Jackson, faces sentencing the same day for filing false joint federal income tax returns and could get up to two years in prison.
