Kanye West's New Album 'Yeezus' Coming June 18

Kanye West will release his sixth solo studio album on June 18. Up until yesterday, that was all that was known about the LP. Today, there's another new track "New Slaves" that 'Ye premiered on walls around the world and an album title.
According to Rap-Up Kanye's album will be called Yeezus, a play on Jesus. The title makes sense considering that the first track Yeezy dropped off the LP was titled "I Am A God." He infamously posed as Jesus on his 2006 cover of Rolling Stone.

“I heard it’s dark, but really good,” said Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg of the LP. Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter told Rolling Stone that West's new album was "very raw." "He was rapping—kind of screaming primally, actually,” said Bangalter of recording sessions. (Daft Punk play drums on the album.) “Kanye doesn’t give a fuck.”

Yeezus will be the follow-up to 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. That album took home three Grammys, including the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

West will appear tonight (May 18) as the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live.
