UPDATED: Hollywood and Broadway converge at Sunday's ceremony honoring excellence in theater, with A-list rookie Tom Hanks up for an acting award opposite veterans Tracy Letts and Nathan Lane.

It's curtains for the 67th annual Tony Awards, honoring the best of Broadway and a smattering of boldfaced names, from Tom Hanks to Cyndi Lauper to the late Nora Ephron.
Hanks, widely predicted to win his first Tony as best lead actor in Ephron's play Lucky Guy, was trounced in the category by the venerable Tracy Letts, who snagged the trophy for the revival of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Meanwhile, Lauper's Kinky Boots took home the prize for best musical, with Lauper also winning best score for composing the music & lyrics.

Cicely Tyson landed a best-actress Tony for her role in the play revival The Trip to Bountiful; Judith Light prevailed as best featured actress in the production The Assembled Parties; and Courtney B. Vance won for his featured part in Lucky Guy.

Neil Patrick Harris emceed Sunday's ceremony, which aired live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall.
