Floyd Mayweather Addresses T.I. Altercation: "Only Person I Wanna Apologize Towards Is Tiny"

PALACE NEWS (PMG)-Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has stepped forward to clear the air on his publicized incident with Atlanta rapper T.I. and apologized for dragging his reality television wife Tiny into the mess.

Mayweather admitted a recent photo of himself alongside Tiny most likely sparked the early Sunday (May 25) confrontation.

"I'm eating at Fatburger and next thing you know, he walk in talking about we need to talk again. And then I told him, "You need to get the f-ck outta my face. That's what you better do." And then he said, "I ain't talking to all these people so you ain't gotta talk loud." I said, "Listen, don't come to my face with no disrespectful sh-t. Like I told you before, you must've forgot what I did for a living." He said, "You do in the ring, I do it in the streets." I said, "My man, I do it everywhere. You can find out if you want to." Just like that. ... Then a couple of words exchange and people got to pushing and a riot kinda broke out. And then a bunch of chaos and that was basically it. Because, like I said before, he probably does some foolish things, but he ain't no damn fool to swing on me." (Necole Bitchie)

Money Mayweather also apologized for taking an indirect shot at Tip's wife.

"Only person I wanna apologize towards is Tiny. I said something like "control your b-tch" and I don't want to say that about Tiny. So I do apologize to Tiny because she cool people, man. She cool. She never been disrespectful to me. Shekinah never been disrespectful to me. I'm going to continue to support Tiny and Shekinah cause they're cool people and I don't got nothing against them. So I apologize for that." (Necole Bitchie)

Details of what allegedly went down at a Fatburger restaurant in Las Vegas surfaced online early Sunday.

According to several witnesses ... Floyd was eating inside the restaurant when T.I. walked up and started jawing at Floyd. It's unclear what caused the beef, but we're told T.I. swung at Floyd ... their giant bodyguards jumped in to separate them ... and then the all out melee began. Las Vegas PD arrived just as Floyd was leaving and we're told T.I. was already gone. (TMZ)
Reports also claimed footage of the incident would be released.

Police confirm one guy suffered a minor injury during the fight, but he refused treatment and did not want to cooperate with investigating officers. In other words ... no snitching. A rep for T.I. had no comment about the fight. We've obtained video of the brawl which we'll be posting shortly. (TMZ)

Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez World Cup Song a Flop?

PALACE NEWS (PMG)-The official World Cup song is definitely striking a chord - the wrong one with many in host country Brazil.

Since the recent release of FIFA's "We Are One (Ole Ola)," hordes of fans in Brazil have been slamming the official 2014 Cup theme.

Many expressed their frustration on Twitter under the tag (hash)VoltaWakaWaka - a plea for the return of the widely loved song that Colombian artist Shakira performed for the 2010 tournament in South Africa.

Although Brazilian Claudia Leitte is also featured in the official theme, critics say they don't understand why Cuban-American rapper Pitbull and Bronx-born Puerto Rican singer Jennifer Lopez were chosen for the song when there are so many other great musicians in the land of Bossa Nova.

Industry News

They also complain that the song is mostly in English and Spanish, leaving only a few seconds at the end for Leitte to sing in her native Portuguese.

"What I don't like about the music is that it's a poor, dull, generic pop theme," said Gaia Passarelli, a Brazilian music journalist and a former VJ for MTV Brazil. "It's a shame considering Brazil's rich musical tradition, which is admired all over the world."

"In the end, we lost a chance to do something rich, inspiring and cool. I'm feeling `saudades' for Shakira," Passarelli said, using a Portuguese word that roughly translates as painful longing.

While details of where the Weezy/Braun issues originate, the Biebs relied on Instagram to speak out.

Reports claim Wayne shot the open message sometime last night (May 25).

The drama between Twist and Scooter had seemingly died down, but MTV News has learned that the clip was shot last night, as the YM team landed back home from their trip to the Cannes International Film Festival in France. No word, as to which particular Braun comment set Wayne off; he just seems to be sick of it all. (MTV)

Some media outlets suggested Braun had an issue with his client hanging out with YMCMB member Lil Twist.

Twist's friendship with Bieber ended after he was removed from the teen superstar's home following a series of run-ins with the law. He was portrayed as being a bad influence on Bieber, but Wayne won't let him take the fall. (Rap-Up)

Kanye & Kim Kardashian Wed at Florence's Forte di Belvedere

PALACE NEWS (PMG)-Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are officially "Bound" to each other.

The celebrity couple, who have made a habit of over-the-top, public displays of affection, got hitched Saturday in a decidedly private spot: a Renaissance fortress in Florence called the Forte di Belvedere or Fortezza di Santa Maria in San Giorgio del Belvedere. The city's mayor's office reported that the 300,000 euro ($420,000) rental fee for the fort would help fund restorations of Florence's art treasures.

The nuptials were confirmed to The Associated Press by Kardashian's representative, who noted the reporting of E! Online, the news site from the network that carries her reality show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." E! Online reported the wedding party consisted of her sisters, while stepfather Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle. Andrea Bocelli and John Legend sang for the couple at the reception.

News Articles

The city's mayor's office had said a week earlier that the couple had rented Belvedere Fort for a wedding to be performed by a Protestant minister, adding a flurry of excitement in the entertainment world about the ceremony, which had been anticipated for months. In the days before the nuptials, the pair held court in Paris, parading in front of photographers for pre-wedding festivities. Kardashian posted a picture on the social media site Instagram of the gardens of fashion designer Valentino's 17th-century Chateau de Wideville west of Paris, where one of their events was being held. The couple also toured the Chateau of Versailles.

The duo, who have one child together, were not shy about their romance; he briefly appeared on her reality show, and he gushed about his love for her in a talk show hosted by her mother, Kris Jenner. A topless Kardashian also starred in his music video for "Bound 2," in which they simulated having sex on a motorcycle bike.

West, 36, proposed to Kardashian, 33, in October on her birthday. He rented out San Francisco's AT&T Park to pop the question.

But when it came to the wedding, media was only able to get photos of the many celebrity guests at the wedding.

Among the notables sighted arriving in Florence ahead of the nuptials were Steve McQueen, director of Oscar-winner `'12 Years a Slave"; Lala Anthony, wife of NY Knicks basketball star Carmelo Anthony; Jaden Smith, the actor and teenage son of Will and Jada Smith; and Joe Francis of `'Girls Gone Wild" video fame.

Industry News
The nuptials drew crowds of fans eager to witness the glitzy event, but they were kept far away from the heavily-walled 16th century fortress, which offers stunning views of Florence and surrounding Tuscan hills.

The rapper was recently quoted in the Florence newspaper La Nazione as saying he and Kardashian had come here previously incognito and he believed that their daughter, North, was conceived `'among the Renaissance masterpieces." The baby was born in June 2013.

It is the first marriage for West, and the third for Kardashian. Her last marriage, to professional basketball player Kris Humphries, in 2011, lasted 72 days. That ceremony was featured in a two-part TV special.

Rick Ross Will Be "Rich" Forever

written by Cyrus Langhorne

PALACE NEWS (PMG)-Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross is letting the world know he speaks riches after getting a "Rich Forever" tattoo on his lower lip this week. #RichForever

Ricky Rozay showed off his unexpected and jaw-dropping facial tat this Memorial Day Weekend.

No matter what happens for the rest of his career, Rick Ross is gonna be "Rich Forever." The rapper got the bold phrase -- which serves as his Instagram name, the name of the John Legend-assisted title track to his celebrated mixtape, and his general life philosophy -- tattooed on his face over the weekend. The Miami native had the ink placed below his lip -- which was just about the only spot on lower face that it could fit, since the rest is occupied by his well-manicured beard. (MTV)
The tattoo genius behind his artwork is also responsible for some other notable celebrities' ink jobs.

The artist responsible for the tattoo, Nikko Hurtado, posted a flick of the process in action on his own account. Hurtado has worked with other celebs, including Drake, The Game and Wale, as well as others like Carlos Boozer and Jenna Jameson. (MTV)

Industry News
Along with the tat, Ross recently talked about his slimmer look.

"I ain't really keeping up with the amount of weight," Ross said when asked how much weight he has lost. "I just wanted to get into better shape, put myself in a better position. I still eat the way I want to eat. I just go to the gym now. I do this sh*t called CrossFit. I call it RossFit. It's called RossFit now. If y'all see this, hashtag RossFit. ... Reebok had introduced me to a trainer and what he turned me onto was, let's say for instance, if you're on a treadmill and you did that sh*t for 30 minutes, you burning calories but you could be doing something that's burning calories and building muscles at the same time." When asked what advice he would give his friend, rap star Fat Joe said Ross could handle his health problems on his own three years ago.

Joey Crack's friend and fellow heavy-set collaborator Rick Ross recently suffered two seizures that many are speculating are connected to the Bawse's weight. Yet when asked by XXL if he had any thoughts on Rozay's current situation, Crills said he had no advice. "He's a grown man," Joe said of Ross. "Whatever his health problems are he's gonna deal with them or do whatever he got [to do]. I can't offer that man nothin'." (XXL Mag)

Usher Gets Good News in Songwriting Dispute

Usher
Kurt Iswarienko

PALACE NEWS (PMG)-Usher and others involved in the creation of the the song "Bad Girl" have escaped a songwriter's copyright infringement claims.

However, this might be one of those rare instances where news of a superstar singer's success takes a back seat to the misconduct of the lawyer who brought the lawsuit in the first place.

In the case, Dan Marino (not the Hall of Fame NFL quarterback) sued Usher Raymond IV and 19 other co-defendants. In particular, Marino targeted his former songwriting partners William Guice and Dante Barton, who collaborated on the song when it was known by the title "Club Girl." Marino says he created the basic melody, chord progressions and tempo, yet was never credited. His copyright infringement claim fails because at best, the song is a joint work and his fellow co-writers were entitled to license it. Here's the full ruling by Pennsylvania federal Judge Paul Diamond.

What's more notable is that the lawsuit was filed by attorney Francis Malofiy, who has been in the news of late thanks to a potential lawsuit he says he's prepared to bring against Led Zeppelin for allegedly stealing the famed introductory section to "Stairway to Heaven" from a 1968 song by the Los Angeles band Spirit.
The Led Zeppelin lawsuit has not yet been filed, and after Judge Diamond ordered sanctions against Malofiy in the Usher lawsuit and slammed him for behaving "in a flagrantly unprofessional and offensive manner," who knows whether it ever will be.

HOT HIP HOP NEWS

Malofiy appears to have assimilated the worst characteristics of lawyers in movies and television.

During one deposition, he told the other lawyer, "Don't be a girl about this." During another, he said, "Usher has $130 million … I'm going to take every penny of it." Yet more comments during the case: "You don't like the truth, it disturbs you. You've never seen the truth in a deposition."; "You can't handle the truth."; "I'll call the Judge. He doesn't like you at all."; "You're like a little kid with your little mouth."; and so forth.

For these comments and others -- which the judge calls "sexist, abusive" -- he gets a pass. Where he doesn't, on the other hand, is his behavior toward Guice.

Palace Articles

After the co-defendant called Malofiy, the attorney untruthfully assured Guice, "Don't worry about it. [Marino] is not coming after you, it's everyone else." The attorney then convinced Guice to sign an affidavit admitting he failed to give his client credit for writing and producing the song. The attorney entered a default judgment against Guice after he failed to respond to the suit — which Malofiy had led him to believe he wasn't a party to. The attorney recorded a conversation without Guice's permission. The attorney essentially got Guice to show up at a deposition without a lawyer and without knowing that he was one of the people being sued.

Later, Guice learned the truth and was understandably upset. "I would say I was duped," Guice said during the case.

"It is difficult to imagine more vexatious or unreasonable behavior," rules Judge Diamond in his sanctions memorandum. "Malofiy's discussions with Guice are the paradigm of bad faith and intentional misconduct."
Malofiy says in a press release issued that he disagrees with the grant of sanctions and denies misleading Guice.

Industry News

Will Malofiy even get a chance to litigate a claim over "Stairway to Heaven"? Will he be able to show off his impressive legal reasoning skills like this gem offered during the Usher case: "It is a fallacious position; one which, mounting a series of misplaced presumptions into a portrait of the issue misframed from the start -- and arguing backwards at that -- only obscures the fundamental truth that refutes it."

Judge Diamond leaves off by writing, "Whether Malofiy should be removed from practice is a question properly answered in another forum."
