Anschutz Group is considering selling AEG, the world's second largest live music company, the Wall St Journal reported late on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
AEG, whose sports and entertainment assets include the Barclays Center in New York, the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the Coachella music festival, could be worth several billion dollars according to the paper which also said the talks are still in an early s tage.

AEG is second only to Live Nation Entertainment Inc in the concert promotions business also owns the O2 arena in London and L.A. Galaxy soccer team.
A rep for AEG had not responded to Billboard's request for comment at press time, but said a statement would be forthcoming.
