Broadcast Music Inc., (BMI) today announced the appointment of Silvia Davi as its VP and Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing. Davi, who will be based in BMI's New York City headquarters, will oversee the rights management company's Corporate Communications and Marketing Department and report to Richard Conlon, Senior VP of Corporate Strategy, Communications and New Media.
Davi joins BMI after serving as VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Brand at professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies. Previously she spent eight years at NASDAQ OMX as Vice President, Corporate Communications and Head of Global Broadcast Media Strategy and before that worked as the Director of Public Relations at Instinet Group.

"Silvia is a highly strategic, creative, and well-rounded communications talent and I am pleased to have her join our senior management team."
Davi's experience also includes senior communications roles at the world's largest public relations agencies including Edelman and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Journalism, Media Studies and Public Relations at Hofstra University.
