BEYONCÉ DROPS ROLE IN CLINT EASTWOOD'S 'A STAR IS BORN' REMAKE

It looks like Beyoncé will not be starring in Clint Eastwood's remake of A Star Is Born after all, due to scheduling conflicts. "I was looking forward to the production of A Star Is Born and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood," the singer/actress said in a statement to E! News. "For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."

Knowles was set to play the promising young performer that Barbra Streisand was billed in the 1976 version, who falls in love with an older fading star, played by Kris Kristofferson in the same cast. Rumor has it that with the "Crazy In Love" singer off the credits, there is interest in jazz musician Esperanza Spalding though no offers are being made till the male lead is locked in.
Among those reportedly being sought out include Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and, most recently, Bradley Cooper.
