Gap has decided to feature rapper Nas and his jazz musician father, Olu Dara, in their 2012 holiday campaign. They are a part of the “Love Comes in Every Shade” advertisements, and their segment is about “fatherly love.”
Yesterday, Nas tweeted a picture of he and his father, both well-dressed in pieces from Gap’s winter collection. Gap also changed their cover photo on Facebook to a collage of the new ads but this is our favorite.

Actress Maia Campbell To Appear on 'Iyanla: Fix My Fallen Star'

Former In The House actress Maia Campbell is working to rebuild her troubled past. In a recent tweet, Campbell excitedly confirmed her appearance on Iyanla Vanzant’s Iyanla: Fix My Fallen Star airing on the OWN Network November 17. “Have you marked your calendar for 11/17?” Campbell tweeted.

Campbell, the daughter of late novelist Bebe Moore Campbell, had rumors of drug addiction, mental illness and prostitution swirling the internet after a video showing the actress on an unusual rant went viral. The 90s sitcom starlet was nearly unrecognizable to fans.

The actress is currently sober and admits that she “was out there on the other stretch of the road” but has gotten her life back on track. Now she is more motivated than ever by her daughter, the recent loss of her dad and carrying on her mom’s legacy with a book she has written titled Sagittarius.

Woman Investigated For Facebook Post About Killing Obama

A woman who posted an offensive and threatening remark about President Obama on Facebook is now being investigated by the United States Secret Service, according to FOX40.
After the president won his re-election Tuesday night, Denise Helms wrote, “Another 4 years of this n***er…maybe he will get assassinated this term..!!”
While Helms doesn’t believe her comments were threatening, the Washington D.C. bureau of the Secret Service told the news station “all threats, or perceived threats, are taken seriously and investigated.”
Helms has since removed the post from her page, but still does not feel she was wrong.
“The assassination part is kind of harsh,” she said. “I’m not saying I’d go do that or anything like that, by any means, but if it was to happen I don’t think I’d care on bit.”
Helms faces a Class D felony charge if the Secret Service deems her a credible threat.
In case we haven’t learned by now, the Secret Service does not take threats to the head of state lightly.

Rihanna Gives Back to Hurricane Sandy Victims

Rihanna may have a bad girl persona, but she’s doing good for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

According to the Grio, the singer hosted a listening party turned benefit concert last night titled, “Rihanna & Friends” at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in New York City. The event was scheduled to be free, but the decision to charge admission to help those affected by the disaster transformed it into a charitable event. “Now is the time for us to come together and do whatever we can to aid those in need,” she told the Daily News.

The pop star is certainly doing her part. She has already donated 1,000 sleeping bags and is also donating $100,000 the NYC Food Bank.

“It’s really difficult to see something so tragic going on and not be able to do anything about it,” Rihanna expressed in a recent interview. “There’s nothing you can control, it’s Mother Nature. It’s really sad what happened here.”

JUSTIN BIEBER & SELENA GOMEZ BREAK UP

Do you hear that? It's the sound of young girls around the world crying ... tears of joy! Reports are surfacing that Justin Bieber and his girlfriend of two years, Selena Gomez, have broken up.
E! Online broke the story citing an exclusive source who says the pair split a week ago "because of their crazy schedules."
Break-up rumors have been swirling for several weeks, and last night the Biebs was spotted out in New York City with 19-year-old Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin prompting many to speculate that he had, indeed, moved on from his relationship with the Wizards of Waverly Placestar. (Well played, dude. Well played.)
Gomez, 20, reportedly initiated the split over Halloween. "Selena definitely had some major trust issues with Justin," another source told US Weekly. "They are [young] . . . it changes from day to day. Right now it is a break and tomorrow it could be back on knowing them . . . it's hard to say how they will end up. Maybe she feels more serious about it this time. We'll see."
Gomez began dating the 18-year-old Bieber in November of 2010, but the two did not make things official until February 2011. Their adorable relationship made news in September of 2011 when Bieber rented out the Los Angeles Staples Center and, inspired by a scene in the Adam Sandler flick Mr. Deeds, set up a dinner date in the middle of the empty basketball arena. But being the girlfriend of the guy of every pre-teens' dreams had its price, and Gomez was often victim to verbal abuse and death threats from his 30 million strong fan base, aka Beliebers, over Twitter.
Bieber, fresh off a performance at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show earlier this week, is up for Artist of the Year at the 40th Anniversary American Music Awards. We'll see who the "Boyfriend" singer brings as his date to the awards show airing Nov. 18 on ABC.

Mick Fleetwood, Avett Brothers, Passion Pit, Gaslight Anthem Join New Jersey Hurricane Relief

With the impact of Hurricane Sandy still being felt, musicians including Mick Fleetwood, the Avett Brothers, Passion Pit, the Gaslight Anthem and Nicole Atkins have joined Move for Hunger's RebuildRecover effort to provide relief to New Jersey's coast.

The musicians involved have taped PSAs for the organizations.

"They are restoring, rebuilding and recovering the communities that are so dear to our hearts, by getting donations directly to those in need," Fleetwood says in his video.

A number of musicians have supported relief efforts in recent days: Rihanna made a $100,000 pledge today, Lady Gaga has given $1 million to the Red Cross and artists from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to Christina Aguilera performed on last week's NBC telethon.
