$1 Million Powerball Ticket Players Hit Big In Iowa

$1 Million Powerball Ticket Players Hit Big In Iowa

Two more people got a little luck on their side recently, when they won $1 million off of a Powerball ticket.

In Northumberland County, the winning ticket correctly matched all five white balls—13-14-41-49-59—but not the red Powerball 14, for a $1 million second-tier prize, less 25 percent federal withholding.

The retailer where the ticket was purchased is also getting a bit of cash, receiving a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Over in Council Bluffs, Iowa, someone who bought a Powerball ticket at a convenience store won a $1 million prize in Wednesday night’s drawing. The winner, like the previously mentioned one, also matched the first five numbers—9-10-24-52-56—but missed the Powerball.

Oddly enough, this is the second win for the town. In April, a Council Bluffs woman claimed a $1 million Powerball prize with a ticket she bought at a supermarket.

Although we might be lowkey hatin' a little bit inside, it's still nice when normal people get free money!
