Pastor Creflo Dollar Released From Jail After Attacking Daughter

Mega-church pastor Creflo Dollar was released from jail yesterday after allegedly attacking his daughter during an argument in their home.

According the WSB-TV news, the pastor and his 15-year-old daughter got into a fight over a party she wanted to attend. According to his 19-year-old daughter, Creflo then proceeded to grab her by the neck, choking her, leaving visible scratches around her neck.

Deputies were then called to the home by his daughter, where they arrested Dollar. He was booked into the Fayette County Jail around 2am on Friday morning with a five thousand dollar bond.

He was released late Friday morning; but his bond doesn’t prevent him from maintaining contact with his daughter, according to WSB-TV reporter Tom Jones. Upon leaving the county jail, Dollar had this to say about the incident:

“Discipline my kid. Love ‘em.”

Creflo Dollar is pastor and founder of World Changes Church in College Park, Atlanta. The church had 30,000 members with ten satellite campuses around the country.

Former Fleetwood Mac Member Bob Welch Commits Suicide

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bob Welch, a former member of Fleetwood Mac who went on to write songs and record several hits during a solo career, died Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. He was 65.

Police spokesman Don Aaron said Welch's wife found him with a chest wound at their south Nashville home around 12:15 p.m.

Welch was a guitarist and vocalist for Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974. He formed the British rock group Paris in 1976, and had hits including "Sentimental Lady" in 1977 and "Ebony Eyes" in 1978. Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham did backup vocals on "Sentimental Lady."

Aaron said Welch apparently had had health issues recently. He said a suicide note was left.
Fleetwood Mac's career took off in the mid-1970s after Welch left the band. "Dreams" was a No. 1 hit in 1977 and "Don't Stop" the same year. It later became the anthem for Bill Clinton's 2002 presidential campaign. "Hold Me" was a hit in 1982 and "Little Lies" in 1987.

Welch, a native of Los Angeles, scored his biggest hit with "Sentimental Lady," which reached No. 8 on the Billboard chart. His other singles included "Precious Love" in 1979 and "Hot Love, Cold World" in 1978.

When Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, Welch was not included in the group.

Jermaine Dupri failed to pay his taxes in 2007 owing $493,818.75 after all the penalty fees!

With tax problems that go back 10 years Lil Kim owes money from 2002-2009 bringing her total to $1,026,862.42

Bow Wow owes taxes for the years 2006, 2008 and 2010 totaling $126,086.14. Poor guy better find a new accountant!

Chris Tucker has a whopping total of $12,164,504.08 owed to Uncle Sam.

Another day, another celebrity with tax trouble.

Lauryn Hill is facing three years in prison and $300 thousand in fines over failing to file her taxes for three years.

According to Attorney Paul J. Fishman, Hill has been charged with willfully failing to file her taxes for the years, 2005, 2006, 2007. In the report he filed, throughout those years, the Grammy-Award winning singer had a gross income off around $818,000 in 2005, more than about $222,000 in 2006, and more than $761,000 in 2007; but failed to report the income to the IRS.

Representatives for Lauryn Hill have yet to comment on these allegations, but she will appear in court on June 29 in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael A. Shipp in New Jersey.

Carly Rae Jepsen Plays Quirky 'Call Me Maybe' with Fallon, Roots: Watch.

Carly Rae Jepsen's chart-conquering "Call Me Maybe" has taken over late night.

In addition to taking the "Late Night" stage on Thursday night, the singer joined host Jimmy Fallon and house band the Roots to perform a unique version of the hit song, played with "elementary school classroom" instruments ranging from bongos to a kazoo. The backstage performance found Jepsen herself with instrument in hand, tapping a triangle as she belted the song along with Fallon.

The singer performed a less quirky take on the song with her usual band on Thursday night's episode, with the classroom version hitting the web on Friday. Thanks to the support of Justin Bieber and a viral video nearing 100 million views, the Canadian musician's "Call Me Maybe" has climbed the charts since making its U.S. debut. It's spent 15 weeks on the Hot 100, sitting pretty at No. 2 on this week's chart under Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know."

The Beach Boys Set For Highest Charting Album in 37 Years.

The Beach Boys are aiming for their highest charting album on the Billboard 200 in 37 years as "That's Why God Made the Radio" could debut in the top three next week.

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, June 13.

Industry sources project that the Beach Boys' album may sell around 60,000 to 65,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, June 10. That figure will also include nearly 20,000 copies that were pre-ordered during the band's concert appearance on the QVC shopping network on May 16.

The last time the Beach Boys were this high on the Billboard 200 was in October of 1974, when the greatest hits package "Endless Summer" spent one week at No. 1.

"That's Why God Made the Radio" is the band's 29th studio album and was released as part of the group's 50th anniversary celebration.

Ying Yang Twins Rapper... ARRESTED

Deongelo Holmes -- one half of the rap duo Ying Yang Twins -- was arrested last week for marijuana possession and DUI.

 According to the Gwinnett County Police report, when Holmes was busted on June 1 in Duluth, GA ... his eyes were "bloodshot and glazed" and his speech was "mumbled, slurred and slow." The report also states Holmes failed a field sobriety test, but was "cooperative and friendly" with officers.

Holmes was also booked for child endangerment ... because his two kids, ages 3 and 2 months, were in the car at the time.

The Ying Yang Twins are best known for their 2005 song, "Wait (The Whisper Song)."

The Stone Roses Begin Reunion Live Tour In Barcelona

Seminal U.K. rock band the Stone Roses made a triumphant start to their comeback tour, playing a hit-filled, ninety-minute set at Barcelona's intimate Razzmatazz venue.  

The rapturously-received gig was the first date in the Manchester-formed band's eagerly-anticipated 2012 world tour, which includes three shows at Manchester's Heaton Park, June 29 - July 1. The U.K. shows, which are promoted by Manchester-based SJM, sold out in just over an hour, with fans snapping up all 220,000 tickets.  

Having disbanded in 1996, following the departure of founder member John Squire, and a disastrous subsequent headline set at that year's Reading festival, last month saw all four original members of the Stone Roses - singer Ian Brown, guitarist Squire, drummer Alan 'Reni' Wren and bassist Gary 'Mani' Mounfield - share a stage together for the first time since 1990, when they performed a low-key, free 60-minute show at Warrington Parr Hall on May 23, which had been announced only hours earlier via the band's official website.

19-year-old rapper Melvin Vernell III, who went by the stage name Lil Phat, was found shot dead at 6:40 pm yesterday in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road in Atlanta, GA. 

Lil Phat was found in a car parked in a parking structure next to Northside Hospital Women's Center. He was taken to nearby Northside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitutional , witnesses told investigators that they saw at least one suspect running from the scene of the crime. The parking deck has video surveillance cameras that the police are currently reviewing.

Police spokesman Capt. Steve Rose said today that police are searching for-

"two black males ... seen running from the location at the time of the shooting."

Witnesses described one as short and wearing a red shirt and the other a tall and dressed in all black, Rose said.

Lil Phat was signed to Trill ENT, which included artists Lil Boosie, Webbie, Foxx, Lil Trill, KaDe, Mouse & Shell.

My most important tool is my laptop. I invested in a dependable laptop with a large hard drive. With my laptop and my car, I have a mobile virtual office whose convenience can’t be beat. Be fore a client meeting, I preload the artist CD/music in my computer. During the meeting we review the artist CD and discussing how they market their music and what changes they are willing to make in order to market with PMG. I get all the information on their necessary needs and save them to my laptop and external hard drive/thumb drive for immediate back-up.

A few other investments I made to enhance my virtual office:

An AC adaptor that plugs into my car’s cigarette lighter that charges the laptop battery when I’ve been away from a power supply for too long. A digital camera and a tripod have been helpful. When I visit a client, periodically there is the opportunity to take a photograph to add to the social network or website. A heavy plastic file holder that can hold quite a few folders.

A sturdy handcart, I strap my file holder on, with a heavy, rubber strap and I place my laptop on top of that then I secure the laptop with a large bungee style cord.

I usually leave my heavy plastic file holder in my car and just take the laptop with any specific file I need in, when I arrive to meet with the client.

Elvis Joins the 'Hologram' Craze

Elvis Presley is still dead, but he's making some comeback performances soon.

Digital Domain Media Group, creator of the "holographic"Tupac Shakur at Coachella, has announced an exclusive deal with the Core Media Group to jointly produce a series of "virtual" Elvis likenesses for a range of entertainment projects.

According to Digital Domain, a visual effects company that also has worked on such films as "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Tron: Legacy" and "X-Men: First Class," the virtual Elvis will soon be seen in film, on television and in other venues. Concerts appear to be a clear possibility. Digital Domain says it will announce soon where audiences can expect to see the first virtual Elvis performances.

Core Media, formerly known as CKx, is a company that creates and manages brands. It acquired Apollo Global Management in 2011, which gave it rights over Elvis' likeness.

Elvis Presley Enterprises is a division within Core Media. The manager of Elvis' brand expresses enthusiasm for what's ahead.

"His lifelong fans will be thrilled all over again, and new audiences will discover the electric experience of Elvis the performer," said Jack Soden, president and CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises. "The high level of quality entertainment that both Core Media Group and Digital Domain deliver gives us great confidence that these projects will help continue the growth of Elvis' rich legacy all over the world."

According to the company, Elvis sightings are still strong with 6 million Facebook followers, more than 70,000 official app downloads and more than 5 million unique visitors annually to Elvis.com. "He is also now the King of Digital," says a press release.

The virtual Tupac performance at Coachella was witnessed by tens of thousands of people, made international headlines and has sparked speculation about which dead celebrities would be the next to be resurrected digitally. Plans are also in the works for a virtual Marilyn Monroe concert this year.

Nasty Old Man! Jerry Sandusky Allegedly Wrote Love Letters To Victims (MUST READ)

On the first day of jury selection in the child molestation trial of former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky, a bombshell dropped when it was revealed that Sandusky allegedly wrote "creepy" love letters to his victims, eight of whom are set to testify against him.

STORY: They Were Warned! Psychologist Warned Penn State About Sandusky

According to ABC News, Sandusky wrote intimate love letters to the accuser - known as Victim 4 - which will be read into testimony when the trial begins on Monday.

Victim 4, who is expected to be the first witness called to testify against Sandusky, will also show the gifts, including a set of golf clubs, that Sandusky allegedly gave him during their relationship.

As Reported By ABC News:

The letters, which were allegedly written in Sandusky's own handwriting, are expected to corroborate the testimony of the man known as Victim 4, now 28 years old, who met the coach through Sandusky's charity, the Second Mile. The victim's attorney won't talk about the letter, but sources describe the letters as "creepy" and note that one was a story written in the third person.

Ben Andreozzi, the alleged victim's attorney, did say-

"They have evidence to support his allegations, and there's other evidence that has not been released to the public yet that I think will really resonate with the jury."

The revelations come on the first day of jury selection in the trial in which Sandusky faces 52 counts of child molestation charges. In addition to Victim 4, seven other alleged victims are expected to testify against the former defensive coordinator during the three-week trial beginning Monday. 

When Sandusky was arrested, the grand jury presentment stated that Victim 4 was the victim of sexual abuse by Sandusky, which included rape and oral sex in the hotels where the Penn State football team stayed.

Victim 4 was allegedly molested while on trips with Sandusky and the football team to bowl games in Arizona and Texas, crimes that may result in federal prosecution.

Victim 4 was one of five alleged victims who petitioned Judge John Cleland to keep their identities anonymous during the trial, continuing a practice put in place by the state attorney general's office to protect their identities during the investigation. But Cleland denied their request, saying that all of the victims who were willing to testify must be willing to be revealed to the public.

Lawyers for the prosecution and the defense, as well as Cleland, interviewed dozens of Centre County, Pa., residents today to whittle the juror selection pool down and agree on a jury; by the end of the day, they had selected six jurors for the trial. 

Defense attorneys also disclosed that they had a potential witness list of more than 100 people, while the prosecution had a list of more than 50 potential witnesses including Penn State head coach Joe Paterno’s wife and son.

Plus-Size Model, Mia Amber Davis, Dies at 36

Plus-size model and actress Mia Amber Davis has died at the age of 36 after undergoing a routine knee surgery, reports TMZ. 

According to Davis' husband, Michael Yard, the vivacious model and actress (she starred in the comedy, "Road Trip," in 2000) had gone to a Los Angeles hospital to correct an ongoing knee problem obtained from years of playing college basketball. Sadly, she never returned. 

Yard says he spoke to his wife the morning of her surgery and she was in good spirits. Yet hours later her cousin called to tell him Davis had passed away. "I want to know what happened to my wife," he told TMZ. 

Davis is best remembered for modeling for Ashley Stewart and being the face of ESSENCE Music Festival headliner Jill Scott's Butterfly Bra. She was also a fierce advocate for fuller figured women. She once appeared on CNN to discuss obesity in America. "The media doesn't showcase overweight people, overweight women are not seen in Hollywood," she said. "It's like, why are we being targets but we're invisible everywhere else?" 

Rest in peace, Mia Amber Davis.

ESSENCE Music Festival headliner Mary J. Blige may be adding "fashion designer" to her resume any day now. The soulful singer revealed that she is "brainstorming" a new fashion collection project, reports WWD.

Blige spilled the beans on her new project this week at Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only in Beijing” fashion show and party where she performed. One of the first to-do's on Blige's project list is to create boots and accessories, and later plans to design "great-fitting jeans," she said.
