Since that gory report of a Miami man eating off the face of another man last month, bath salts—the drug he was suspected to be high on—have gained a surge in popularity. However, reports are now showing that he had no bath salts in his system during the attack.
According to Huffington Post, a full toxicology report released Wednesday afternoon by the Miami-Dade medical examiner revealed that the only drug detected in the infamous Miami face-chewer Rudy Eugene was marijuana.
The medical examiner said in a statement, "The department's toxicology laboratory has identified the active components of marijuana. The laboratory has tested for but not detected any other street drugs, alcohol or prescription drugs...This includes cocaine, LSD, amphetamines (Extasy, Meth and others), phencyclidin
Given that marijuana alone couldn't be the sole reason behind the cannibal attack—at least we hope—this case is still being investigated and looked into, including a previously reported autopsy finding of what appeared to be undigested pills in Eugene's stomach.
