News just broke that Chad Johnson was arrested on domestic violence charges involving his new wife, reality TV star, Evelyn Lozada.
Pro Football Talks reports:
According to Davie (Fla.) Police Department captain Dale Engle, Johnson was arrested Saturday night on domestic violence charges, per the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
According to the report, Johnson was arrested after an incident involving his new wife, Evelyn Lozada. He allegedly head-butted her during an argument in his car.  They were married on July 4.
When police arrived at the scene, Lozada had lacerations on her forehead.
TMZ reports that "Lozada has been at the hospital for several hours and her injury will require stitches."
Miami Dolphin journalist, Ben Volin tweeted that the altercation started over receipts for condoms.
Likewise, The Palm Beach Report published that Basketball Wives star did in fact find a receipt for condoms in the car as the couple drove home from dinner. The site reports:
According to Engle, Johnson and his wife, Evelyn Lozada, were driving to their home in Davie after dinner Saturday night when Lozada found a receipt for a box of condoms in the car, sparking an argument that got “heated.”
When they arrived at their home, the argument “escalated quite a bit,” Engle said, and Johnson and Lozada butted heads, giving Lozada a laceration on her forehead. Lozada told police that Johnson purposely head-butted her, while Johnson told police it was accidental.
Chad is reportedly still being held in custody and is waiting to be seen by a judge. Ben Violin tweets:
In an odd coincidence, Chad Johnson seemed to predict his arrest when said in the 1st episode of HBO's Hard Knocks series (just last week), which is following the Dolphins this year,  "Hey Stu, I promise I'm getting arrested while we're off."
