JERSEY CITY, N.J. — The Queen of Soul performed at a concert for cancer patients in New Jersey across from the Statue of Liberty.
Nearly 4,000 people attended the Fourth Annual Celebrating Life and Liberty event at Liberty State Park Sunday.
Franklin sang her hits including “Respect” and “Freeway of Love.”
The event is sponsored by the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.
