Death Grips Leak New Album, Blame Label For Shutdown Of Website

On Monday, Death Grips followed up on a promise they had made on Twitter by leaking their sophomore album No Love Deep Web, months before the released date planned by their label Epic Records.

Sunday night, the hip-hop trio tweeted "The label wouldn't confirm a release date for No Love Deep Web 'till next year sometime'" followed by "The label will be hearing the album for the first time with you" and, finally, "12AM PST." They then followed up the threat by leaking the album via SoundCloud between midnight and 1 AM PST.
Later on Monday, the band's web site, ThirdWorlds.net, was shut down. The band's Zach Hill reportedly told Pitchfork that Epic was responsible; a rep for Epic told Billboard.biz on Tuesday that the label "has nothing to do with the issues on [Death Grips'] site."
