
The 51-year-old was detained by LAPD officers shortly after April Jace was killed in the gunfire that erupted inside the Hyde Park home about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

"It looks to have started as a domestic-related incident," Officer Sara Faden told the LA Times.
Michael Jace called 911 and allegedly told authorities, "I shot my wife," according to TMZ.
The couple, who had been married for nine years, have two sons children. It was not immediately clear if the couple's children were in the home at the time of the incident.

But he shot to fame by playing Christian LAPD officer Julien Lowe — who is confused about his sexuality — in the FX drama "The Shield."
