While H&M’s racist ad featuring a young Black boy wearing an offensive sweatshirt left a sour taste in our mouth (as well as the rest of the Internet!) this week, Diddy may have just made things a whole lot sweeter.

[Tha' Palace!]: Worldwide -- P. Diddy has seemingly responded to the whirlwind of controversy sparked by the H&M ad which features a black child wearing a jumper with the slogan ‘Coolest monkey in the jungle. It’s thought that he’s planning on hiring the little lad to model for his own brand, Sean John.

Is the music mogul is  offering the young model a modeling contract?!

Several celebrities expressed their outrage over the H&M ad, and The Weeknd, who previously did two collaborations with H&M, even revealed that he plans to no longer work with the fashion brand after the offensive ad.

Diddy reacted by posting an illustrated photo of the young Black model with a crown and the words “Coolest King In the World” on his sweatshirt. The music mogul also wrote the following caption, “Put some respect on it!! When you look at us make sure you see royalty and super natural God sent glory!! Anything else is disrespectful.”

One commenter actually said, “@diddy put this young king on one of ur seanjohn ads and show @hm how our young kings should be treated.”

Whether Diddy was inspired by his followers or came up with the idea himself, it’s alleged that he’s planning to hire the young boy to model for his clothing brand, Sean John.

Although Diddy has not yet confirmed if the reports are true or not, we truly hope that they are! We’d love to see more of the young Black model king who deserves all the glory and praise.

Multiple Twitter users addressed the brand, explaining that dressing a black child in a hoodie with this slogan was at best racially insensitive and at worst actively racist. Metro.co.uk contacted H&M to ask them what their stance on this issue was. An H&M spokesperson told us: ‘This image has now been removed from all H&M channels and we apologise to anyone this may have offended.’

They added by writing on Twitter: ‘We understand that many people are upset about the image of the children’s hoodie. We, who work at H&M, can only agree. ‘We’re deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print. Therefore, we’ve not only removed the image from our channels, but also the garment from our product offering. ‘It’s obvious that our routines haven’t been followed properly. This is without any doubt. We’ll thoroughly investigate why this happened to prevent this type of mistake from happening again.’
