Gospel Singer Sues McDonald’s For Ruined Voice

McDonald’s is facing legal trouble, again.

According to the New York Post, Jacqueline Simpson, a 52-year-old gospel singer from Brooklyn, N.Y. has sued McDonald’s, claiming that her voice was ruined after she bit into a McChicken sandwich.

Simpson says the sandwich from fast food super-chain McDonald’s contained glass inside of it. The Post writes that Simpson alleges the glass has damaged her voice. She can no longer sing soprano and her voice has been “hoarse” and “rattly.”

“Rest assured I take these matters very seriously,” said Paul Goodman, owner and operator of multiple McDonald’s restaurants in Manhattan in a statement to The Huffington Post. “Providing safe food and beverage is a top priority at my restaurant. Upon learning about this claim, I took immediate action to gather the facts and began investigation into the matter. As this is a pending legal matter, it would [be] inappropriate to comment further.”
